Congestion Hits Key Commuter Routes

Motorists heading into Dubai faced heavy congestion early this morning. Live traffic maps showed severe delays building around 8:00 am. The worst delays occurred on roads connecting Sharjah and Dubai. Traffic crawled slowly along Al Ittihad Road near Al Nahda. Slow-moving vehicles stretched all the way toward the Dubai border. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road also experienced heavy congestion today. Traffic backed up through Sharjah's Industrial Areas and Muweileh. Delays also built on the E88 highway near Al Yash.

Internal Roads Show Slowdowns

Several internal roads within Sharjah's industrial zones backed up significantly. Maps flagged a number of minor accidents and temporary road closures. Inside Dubai, congestion spread across the busy Al Qusais area. Traffic moved slowly near Al Qusais Cemetery and Madina Mall. Motorists faced additional delays near City Centre Mirdif this morning. Airport Road saw slow traffic near the Al Rashidiya area. Traffic also crawled along stretches in Deira, Al Karama, and Oud Metha. Al Khail Road experienced heavy congestion near Dubai Hills.

Seeking Alternative Routes

Heavy delays built around the Ghadeer Al Tair area specifically. Traffic slowed down on the Dubai-Al Ain Road near Nad Al Sheba. Commuters leaving Jumeirah Village Circle faced delays reaching the E311 interchange. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road slowed near Dubai Sports City. Umm Suqeim Street saw heavy traffic between Motor City and Damac Hills. Fortunately, Sheikh Zayed Road flowed relatively smoothly for most of its length.
