Miss Universe India Kaziah Liz Mejo recently returned to the UAE for a visit. The 19-year-old law student grew up in Abu Dhabi before winning the crown. She had one very specific craving when she returned to the city. She wanted a proper, juicy, authentic Arabic shawarma immediately upon landing. Kaziah hopes to transition into acting after her pageant duties conclude. The movie Om Shanti Om sparked her initial interest in becoming an actress. She also cites Indian beauty queens who built successful acting careers as inspirations. Kaziah graduated as her school topper and emphasizes the importance of education. She refuses to let people assume pageant contestants lack academic ambition. She spent years working on advocacy related to sustainable menstrual hygiene options.
