Severe congestion is currently blocking several major arterial routes across the emirates.

Motorists traveling between Dubai and Sharjah are facing frustratingly heavy delays today. Severe congestion is currently reported on several major arterial transport routes. The absolute worst bottleneck is sitting on Al Ittihad Road near Al Nahda. Traffic is aggressively backing up toward the Al Qusais area.

Nearby industrial areas are also seeing incredibly heavy and slow-moving congestion. Significant delays are building rapidly around Muwaileh and the busy University City area. Motorists heading straight through Deira face much longer journey times as well.

Slow traffic is plaguing drivers heading toward the Bur Dubai district.

Elsewhere in Dubai, heavy congestion has built up on Al Khail Road. The junction intersecting with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Justice Road is practically at a standstill. Umm Suqeim Street through Al Barsha South is seeing very slow-moving traffic.

In contrast, the outer stretches of the E311 remain largely clear for now. Motorists using these affected routes must allow for extra travel time. Authorities strongly advise seeking alternative routes if possible.
