Visitors can view both finished masterpieces and the rough sketches behind them.

Two fascinating new exhibitions just opened at Dom Art Projects in Dubai. You can find these displays at Warehouse 40 in Al Quoz. The shows feature the creative work of seven UAE-based artists. Visitors get a unique look at both finished pieces and early experiments.

The first group exhibition is called Studio, Wounds, and Battles. It grew directly out of the gallery's recent Studio Support Programme. Alisa Bagdonaite curated this specific collection of local talent. The program gave artists the freedom to experiment without strict deadlines.

The exhibition includes unfinished sketches and ideas still taking shape.

Featured artists include Aisha Alhammadi, Divyaaunshi Purohit, and Joumana Mortada. You will also see work by Meher Afroz Vahid and Rabila Kidwai. Teng Miras and Sara Masinaei complete the talented group of seven. This setup reveals parts of the creative process normally hidden away.

Running alongside this group show is a solo presentation by Sara Masinaei. Her exhibition is titled Boundaries and Breaches. It considers how streets and everyday movement influence our memories. She explores how we personally experience the complex landscape of a city.

Masinaei gathered impressions of urban surfaces and found objects for her work.

Studio, Wounds, and Battles runs from September 23 to October 11. Boundaries and Breaches will stay open slightly longer, until October 18. Both exhibitions are completely free for the public to enter and enjoy. This makes it an excellent weekend activity for art lovers.

The venue opens from 11 am to 8 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Please note that the gallery remains closed every Monday. Dom Art Projects sits conveniently on Al Khayat Avenue.
