The Summer Heat Begins To Break

Temperatures across the UAE are expected to begin a gradual decline. The heat reached a high of 46°C on Tuesday afternoon. The National Centre of Meteorology predicts fairer conditions starting on Wednesday. Clouds will develop over eastern areas and could become convective. Humidity will increase overnight and into the early morning hours. Coastal areas face a strong possibility of morning fog or mist. Internal area temperatures will range between 41°C and 46°C today. Coastal areas and islands will record cooler highs of 36°C to 41°C.

Dust Storms And Rough Seas

Mountain temperatures will range comfortably between 29°C and 35°C. South-easterly to north-easterly winds will remain light to moderate generally. Wind speeds could reach 35km/h over the exposed mountainous regions. A gradual decrease in temperatures will finally begin on Wednesday. Humidity will rise again overnight and into Thursday morning locally. The Sea of Oman may become rough at times by Wednesday night. On Thursday, fair to partly cloudy conditions are expected broadly. Winds will freshen at times, stirring up localized blowing dust.

Conditions at sea could become unsettled heading into the weekend. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman may turn rough. Friday is forecast to be partly cloudy over eastern and southern areas. Winds reaching 35km/h could cause more blowing dust on Friday. By Saturday, partly cloudy conditions will persist in the eastern areas. However, the wind speeds are expected to ease slightly by then.
