Chilling Reason Why Las Vegas Shooter Sent His Girlfriend To Philippines

Vegas Shooter sent his girlfriend to family in the Philippines so he would not have to kill her. It is clear the Las Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock, wanted to kill as many innocent strangers as possible. It is also clear that he did not want to harm his long-term girlfriend, Marilou Danley, while he took the final steps to create the worst mass shooting in modern American history.

This is just another of the enigmas about the behavior of Paddock. So far, there has been no way to determine his motivation for the killings. However, he did not want to kill his girlfriend or want her to be harmed or blamed for what he was going to do, so he sent her away.

NBC reports that Danley said that a short time before the shooting occurred, he bought an airplane ticket to send her to the Philippines to visit relatives. She was not expecting to take any trip at that time. He told her that the reason that he bought the ticket was that he got it for a cheap price.

The relationship between the couple was not equally balanced in terms of power. NBC uncovered that sometimes Paddock exercised abusive-type power over Danley. He was overheard by the staff in a Starbuck’s coffee shop berating her about a cup of coffee. He supposedly said that he would pay for the coffee just like he paid for her. The Starbuck’s workers told reporters that she seemed to take this verbal abuse in stride.

An attorney for Danley read a prepared statement where Danley said, “Stephen Paddock was a kind, caring, quiet man.” She said that she was “devastated by the deaths and injuries,” and explained, in the statement, that he never said anything or took any action that she was aware of that she understood to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen.

Obviously, she knew of his gun collection because there were so many guns in their home. However, she was too intimidated by the man to take any steps to tell others about his guns, and really had no reason to do so. After all, they were purchased legally. Many residents of the state of Nevada have many weapons, especially if they are considered to be gun collectors. For all she knew, he was buying the weapons to start another side business selling them for a profit.

After Danley arrived in the Philippines, she learned that Paddock sent her $100,000 by bank wire. While $100,000 is not so much money for a multi-millionaire, the U.S. dollar goes a long way in the Philippines when buying things. This money was sent to her by Paddock to give her the financial resources to start a new life without him.

Hanley voluntarily returned from the Philippines for questioning, at the request of the FBI. While she still remains a person of interest, she was not arrested after her return to the USA. She claims to have no knowledge whatsoever about the plans by her boyfriend Paddock to kill so many people by orchestrating a mass shooting.

Even though he was a cold-blooded murderer, there was also a surprising part of this man’s thinking that created compassionate feelings for his long-term girlfriend.
