This Saturday, notoriously ruthless Floyd Mayweather won against the mixed martial arts champion, Conor McGregor, and set his legacy in concrete as an all-time boxing legend as he secured his 50th win in as many games.
Pinning down McGregor on the ropes, Mayweather landed a merciless attack on the Irishman. The referee, Robert Byrd, had to step in and stop the fight.
Mayweather had insisted that this would be his last fight, and he goes into his second retirement with a dazzling 50-0 record, beating the legendary heavyweight champion, Rocky Marciano at 49-0 mark. After the fight, Mayweather even congratulated McGregor on being “a hell of a champion”.
By the 10th round, Mayweather had totally dominated as he recorded his first early finish since the controversial fight with Victor Ortiz six years ago.
