As the Republic of Seychelles celebrates the historic milestone of its 50th Independence Day, Gautam Karve, Editor-in-Chief of the World Media Organization (WMO), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Government and the people of Seychelles on this proud occasion. 


On this historic milestone, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Government and the people of Seychelles on celebrating 50 years of independence. This Golden Jubilee reflects the nation's remarkable journey of peace, progress, and resilience. We wish Seychelles continued prosperity, unity, and success in the years ahead said Gautam Karve.


The celebrations are further elevated by the visit of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who is attending the Golden Jubilee celebrations as the Guest of Honour. His presence reflects the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between India and Seychelles. 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations, enhance maritime cooperation in the Indian Ocean region, and advance the shared vision of a secure, peaceful, and prosperous Indian Ocean he added.


The World Media Organization joins the international community in celebrating Seychelles' 50th Independence Day and extends its best wishes for a bright, peaceful, and prosperous future.
