The main symptoms of dry eyes are:
Redness
Itching
Blurry vision
A gritty feeling
Feeling like there’s something in your eyes
Light sensitivity

Side effects of certain drugs
Disease such as Sjogren’s syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and collagen vascular disease
Problems which don’t allow your eyelids to close
Coconut oil
Coconut oil is extremely beneficial for treating and preventing dry eyes, It also has antibacterial properties and we can use it to fight infections.
You just need to soak 2 cotton balls in coconut oil and place them over the eyelids. Let it stay for 20 minutes. Do this twice a day.
You can also apply 2 drops of coconut oil in each eye and keep it close for 5 minutes. (2)
Warm compress
Soak a cloth in a hot water and then squeeze it to remove the extra water. Place the wet cloth to your closed eyelids and let it stay for 15 minutes. Do this three times a day for a period of one week and you will see the results. (3)
Chamomile Tea
Chamomile tea has anti-inflammatory properties and we can use it for treating dry eyes. You should add 1 teaspoon of dried chamomile to 200 ml boiling water and leave it to stay for 10 minutes. Then strain the tea and soak a cloth in it. Place the cloth on the closed eyes for 15 minutes. Repeat this every day.
Castor Oil
You can also use castor oil for dealing with dry eyes. You will need to add some castor oil in a dropper and then apply 2 drops of it in each eye. Do this twice a day for a period of two weeks.
