Kenan And Kel Have Reunited To Create New Material

Any self-respecting child of the 90s will know that TV back then was all about Kenan & Kel - a sitcom featuring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell... and lots of orange soda, of course.

Well, now our favourite double act have succumbed to our insatiable hunger for all things nostalgic, joining forces once again for a forthcoming episode of sketch improv show Wild 'N Out for MTV.

For the episode, the duo got together with former cast members from All That, a live-actionsketch show that ran on Nickelodeon between 1994 and 2005, taking to Instagram to get the behind-the-scenes hype going.

In one photo, Kel thanked the Wild 'N Out crew, writing: "With my Brothers! I got to frame this picture! Yo Lil bro @nickcannon your staff and crew was awesome today! Thanks for putting this all together and congratulations on filming season 11 of @mtvwildnout And I enjoyed the prayer you did with the cast before we all hit the stage! #teamJesus Continued success bro! Blessings! And yo @nileevans Stay being epic bro!! God bless!"

Kenan & Kel last aired 18 years ago (yup, now we feel really bloody old, too), having garnered a huge reputation as one of the biggest and most iconic kids' shows of its time.

Since filming wrapped on the sitcom, its stars have been pretty busy, despite the weird rumours circulating in school playgrounds that Kenan had died - we should clarify that he definitely did not die, and has instead managed to forge a pretty firm career as a Saturday Night Live regular.

And while Kel may have lost out to his co-star on the SNL gig, that doesn't mean he hasn't been up to some interesting jobs himself. In fact, let's cut straight to the real news - he's even managed to grow a beard:

Following the end of Kenan & Kel, the 39-year old took on a string of acting and voice acting roles, including parts on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Clifford The Big Red Dog.

He then turned his attention towards the production side of TV and film, making his writing and producing debut in 2008 with Dance Fu, in which he also starred in the lead role.

These days, he's also made a return to Nickelodeon, where he's finding fans in a new generation of kids.

In a recent interview with Time magazine, the actor also talked about his favourite projects since Keenan & Kel all those years ago.

"Oh man, let me think," he said. "I got into directing and voice-over work as well. I worked on Clifford the Big Red Dog, I'm a little dog named T-Bone on that show. Nicktoons, and Rob Dyrdek, working with him.

"I just love every aspect of entertainment, I just like to put my feet in everything, and I'm happy to still have this longevity still going with kids' entertainment, so I can't pick just one."
