A seven-year-old girl in China had a miraculous escape after falling from her sixth-floor home.
The girl was left hanging onto the window grilles of her downstairs neighbour.
Hearing the commotion outside, the quick-thinking neighbour immediately retrieved a pillow and propped it under the girl till the fire-fighters arrived.
"I heard someone crying outside and was shocked to see the little girl clinging onto my window. Thank goodness the girl is okay now," Hangbo said.
The video footage of the incident shows the girl clinging onto the grilles while a firefighter descends from the seventh floor to the fifth floor where the girl is perched.
Two fire trucks and 14 firefighters reached the scene at 6:04 am and it took 10 minutes to lift the girl to safety into the neighbour's flat through the fire escape on the other side of the building, Daily Mail quoted Zhejiang online report.
The neighbour who saved the girl's life is a 23-year-old recent university graduate named Tao Hangbo.
According to reports, the girl did not sustain any injury in the incident. She was reportedly left alone at home while her caretaker was out to buy groceries.
The authorities were unable to reach the child's parents, according to the report.
