Moon sighted in India, Pakistan; Ramadan begins tomorrow

India and Pakistan have declared that the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Thursday, May 17.

 

The moon has been sighted in Chennai, a report in Zee News said.

The moon has also reportedly been sighted in a number of other places, including Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Telangana, according to local media reports in India.

The official twitter handle of Radio Pakistan stated that "Ramzan moon sighted in Pakistan. Tomorrow will be first Ramadan."
