Homeless man asks for cash, stranger gives him ATM card, pin

The homeless man returned the card and did a friendly handshake with the kind-hearted man.

In a heart-warming viral video, a man at a restaurant in Newcastle, UK, handed over his bank card and pin to a homeless man to withdraw money for himself.

The video shows a bearded man wearing a jacket, approaching a group of friends sitting outside at a restaurant, and returning ATM receipt and bank card to a man. The homeless man then shows the £20 he withdrew and does a friendly handshake with the kind-hearted man.

The video was shared on Facebook on Tuesday by Jack Fada who is a builder but also works at a nearby nightclub, according to Mirror.co.uk.

He wrote along with the footage, "Homeless man goes up to a group of people and asks for money. The bloke gives him his bank card and PIN number and tells him to take 20 quid for himself. Don't dare tell me Newcastle isn't the greatest place on Earth."

The video has since been viewed over 115,000 times and has got netizens praising the unidentified 'Good Samaritan' who trusted the homeless man and asked him to take £20 for himself.

Fada told Chronicle Live, "I used to work in that area and you see homeless people asking for money round there all the time. I saw this man go up to a group of people and say have you got any change for us?" He further added, "I thought it was amazing so I got my phone out and started recording it. I got him on the way back from the cash point giving the guy the receipt to show he'd just got the 20 pounds.
