FIFA Bans Plastic Water Bottles Days Before World Cup

FIFA updated its official stadium policy today. The global governing body banned reusable plastic water bottles inside all World Cup stadiums. This sudden rule change happens just one week before the tournament kicks off.

Reversing the Previous Rules

FIFA previously allowed transparent plastic bottles holding up to one liter. Now security guards will confiscate all reusable water bottles at the gates. The organization wants to prevent fans from throwing dangerous objects onto the pitch.

Security teams will also ban glass jars cans and hard thermal boxes.

Coping With Summer Heat

This sudden ban raises serious concerns among traveling fans. Spectators worry about staying hydrated during the intense North American summer heat. Fans must now rely entirely on stadium vendors for their drinking water.

FIFA promises to install cooling tents fans and misting stations outside the stadiums. The organization also guarantees consistent water prices across all tournament venues.
