Some Of The Greatest Football Managers Of All Times

4.Jose Mourinho

The self-proclaimed “Special one” could be the most eccentric manager in the game today. He brings with him a winning mentality which has not been seen in the game since Mourinho became a household name. He won the Champions League with Porto and announced himself to the world stage when he took over the reigns at Chelsea. He guided the English club to two Premier League titles and put the London based club on the world map. After falling out with the Chelsea administration he moved to Italy and took guided Italian giants Inter Milan to their first treble. His first season with Real Madrid brought him the Copa Del Rey and the next year he kept up to his record of having won the league in the second season with every club that he’s worked with when he won the La Liga in a dominating fashion and broke the stranglehold of Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona. Chelsea came back for his services and he delivered the league title once more for the London club. In 2016 he moved to Manchester United and won another three titles, bringing back the good times at Old Trafford.

5.Pep Guardiola

Perhaps no other manager has been a perfect fit at their respective clubs like how Guardiola fit in at Barcelona. He mesmerized the footballing world with arguably the greatest club football team in history. A former Barcelona player, Guardiola is known to be a perfectionist. Having won everything there was to win at Barcelona in 4 trophy-laden seasons, he moved to German giants Bayern Munich. He continued his winning ways and won the league title in each of his three seasons with Bayern and is currently considered as the best manager in football.

6.Sir Alex Ferguson

The greatest manager in the history of the game, Sir Alex is perhaps the most well-recognized figure in the footballing world. He dominated English football like it was his own pet project. 13 league titles in a little over two decades will point to how he constantly evolved his own approach as a manager. Famous for his hair-dryer treatment and for protecting everyone who was involved with the club in any capacity, Sir Alex was more than a football manager. He also left his mark on Europe after winning two Champions League titles. His 26 year association with Manchester United is unrivaled and the game may never see another manager quite like him.
