Seven Members of Same Family Affected by Coronavirus, Kills Three

In a rather bizzare news, seven members of a New Jersey Family were found to be contaminated by Coronavirus. Three family members were found dead with the latest Grace Fusco, aging 73 died on Wednesday. Fusco was the mother of 11 children and the grandmother of 27.

Fusco died on Wednesday night, just hours after her son died also being affected by the same. Her daughter also lost her life five days before Fusco's death being contaminated by the fatal virus.

Four more members of the family were contaminated by COVID-19. All of them were hospitalized, with three in critical condition, said Roseann Paradiso Fodera, the family's relative.

Rita Fusco-Jackson, 55, the eldest child of Mrs Fusco died last Friday after contaminating the virus. After her death, the family got to know that she was affected by the virus.  Her eldest son, Carmine Fusco, died on Wednesday, said Mr. Paradiso Fodera, the family’s lawyer, who is also Mrs Fusco's cousin.

Meanwhile, 20 other members of the family have been quarantined at their respective homes and were absent during the homage to Mrs Fusco. Paradiso Fodera, the family lawyer said that everything that happened in the knick of time was just surreal and the loss is huge.

Margaret Jahn, a health officer from New Jersey said that she doesn't think that the virus has spread beyond the family. "We've conducted several interviews with regard to people who were exposed to close contacts, and we've followed up with those — so we are not seeing a community spread per se," Jahn said.

Meanwhile, as of Wednesday afternoon, five New Jersey residents had died after contaminating the virus, taking the death toll to 427 people statewide.  As many as 7,047 coronavirus cases have been reported across 50 states in the US and 121 deaths as per a New York Times report.
