This Study Says Your Phone Keeps You Awake Even When You’re Asleep At Night. Find Out How

We all know how terribly our electronic devices are affecting our health. Be it your late night calls on your mobile phone, your binge watching sessions on your television, your endless presentation making time with your laptop or your love for listening to music on your iPod, it’s all affecting your health in one way or the rather.

But no matter how well versed we are with all its ill effects, the human mind just wouldn’t budge (or even learn from someone else’s mistakes). Isn’t it?

And while we all knew that using our phones at night affects our sleep, we always liked to believe that once it’s kept away, it is harmless. But guess what? That’s not true.

A new study by JAMA Pediatrics says that your cell phone is keeping you awake at night even when it’s not in use. The research reveals that these kinds of electronic devices not only ruin the quality of your sleep but also ruin your sleeping patterns. As per the study, 89% of adolescents own such devices that take a toll on their health.

Dr. Ben Carter, a senior professor at King’s College London analyzed the behavior of some people and found out that there was a ‘strong and consistent association’ between the use of electronic devices before bedtime and sleeping patterns. The worst part is that the device doesn’t even have to be in use for it to affect your body.

Here’s a video which tells you why late night calls are a bad idea.

Ditch those late night calls, keep your phone away from your while sleeping, read a book or simply have a chat with your parents or roomie, get some discipline in your life. We know you believe in the YOLO concept, but what is life without a good health?
