Spider-Man Brand New Day Breaks Domestic Box Office Records

A Historic Run At The Theaters

Tom Holland's fourth outing as Spider-Man just obliterated the domestic box office. Spider-Man: Brand New Day swung past just about every competitor in cinematic history. The movie spent six straight weekends at the number one spot domestically. This marks the longest consecutive run atop the chart since 2022. The film debuted on July 31, 2026, under the direction of Destin Daniel Cretton. The movie co-stars Hollywood favorites Zendaya, Sadie Sink, and Jon Bernthal. The domestic box office currently sits at an incredible $923 million.

Passing Previous Marvel Milestones

The worldwide box office haul has reached an astonishing $2.4 billion overall. The movie secured a $360 million domestic opening weekend, setting a new industry record. It reached the $900 million domestic mark in just 36 days. The film currently ranks as the second highest-grossing domestic release of all time. It already passed Spider-Man: No Way Home and Avengers: Endgame in North America. The movie easily earned more domestically than Homecoming and Far From Home combined. It represents the highest-grossing Spider-Man film in the history of the massive franchise. Domestically, Brand New Day has beaten both Infinity War and Endgame.

Looking Toward Future Success

This is a monumental achievement, given Endgame held the domestic record for seven years. Worldwide, however, Brand New Day still trails behind Endgame's $2.80 billion global haul. The fall box office traditionally remains quieter for massive blockbuster releases. Brand New Day faces very little major competition between now and the holiday season. If this incredible momentum continues, the film could soon claim the all-time domestic record. Spider-Man clearly enjoyed a truly remarkable summer at the global box office. Tom Holland also leads another massive summer hit, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. Holland and Zendaya effectively dominated the entire summer movie season together.
