Oman Hosts Global Innovation and Investment Conference

Oman launched its first international business sustainability conference today. Tax Authority Head Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi officially sponsored the two-day event.

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences hosts the gathering in Muscat. The Ministry of Commerce partnered with the university for this initiative.

Global Experts and Research Excellence

Dr. Khalid bin Salem Al-Abri addressed the large audience today. The scientific committee carefully selected 38 out of 136 submitted research papers. Researchers and experts traveled from seven different countries to attend. The flexible hybrid model allows both physical and virtual attendance.

Advancing University Programs

Dr. Al-Abri highlighted new postgraduate studies at the university. The faculty now offers excellent master's degrees in taxation and business leadership. These vital programs directly answer current labor market needs.

The Muscat branch achieved massive qualitative research success recently. The prestigious Scopus database now indexes over one thousand university research papers. Investment and business topics make up nearly thirty percent of these publications.

Funding Future Innovation

External research funding approached half a million Omani riyals this year. The university also funds a scientific incubator with industry partners. This strategic step transforms academic research into sustainable economic value.

The Muscat Stock Exchange and the World Bank participated today. Organizers also opened a special exhibition featuring innovative student projects.
