Kuwait Airways denies reports of banning Qataris from travelling for Umrah

Kuwait Airways has denied ever being instructed by Saudi Arabian authorities to ban Qatari nationals from travelling to the kingdom to perform Umrah.

According to the Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait Airways’ CEO, Yousef al-Jassim, said in a statement that the company did not receive any such instructions from Saudi Arabia, however what they did receive was instructions to allow Qatari nationals to travel freely with no complications.

Al-Jassim denied reports accusing the kingdom of doing this, and added that Saudi authorities have designated the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and the Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah to welcome Qatari nationals arriving to perform Umrah.
