8. Uma Thurman

How many times have you ever seen Uma Thurman genuinely smiling? If you can’t remember when it’s because she doesn’t like to smile because of a traumatizing childhood experience. When she was just 10 years old, someone told her she had an ugly smile. Firstly, who tells a 10-year-old she has an ugly smile? Making such comments will only kill a child’s self-esteem, and that’s what happened in Uma’s case.

In an interview, Uma claimed she had perfected the “smize” on the red carpet because she has grown up knowing she has a terrible smile, and could possibly not imagine anyone else repeating those demeaning words. Therefore, she never wanted to smile with her mouth open.

In all fairness, Uma is a very beautiful woman, and even though a few people don’t find her attractive, she is. The important thing here is she doesn’t let anything hold her back since she has a thriving acting career; she has won many awards and received numerous award nominations.

7. Hilary Swank

Have you ever believed in something until one day someone started asking questions about it that made you doubt your beliefs? Arguably, this is what happened to Hilary Swank and it’s the reason she makes on this list. A few years back, she was a topic of discussion in an episode of The Office, where the cast had a debate on whether Hilary was hot or not, and as you would suspect, they never came to a unanimous conclusion.

When she was in an interview at KCRW, the presenter seemed to suggest that Hilary wasn’t as hot as Meryl Streep was as they were talking about her ability to get movie roles. Hilary was explaining how older women were still getting movie roles because Streep was still getting them.

Over the years, people have had serious discussions on whether Hilary is hot or not, and even though some people still maintain she’s not super hot, she’s certainly a beauty.
