Whether you know him from the 2011 documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi or the restaurant where President Obama dined while in Tokyo, there’s no doubt about it—Sukiyabashi Jiro is legendary. This three-starred Michelin joint, hidden in the basement of an office building, is touted as one of the best sushi restaurants in the world. Reservations for a personal omakase served by Jiro Ono himself are famously hard to come by but well worth it for 20 bites of perfectly prepared sushi.
