6. They Take Political Matters Way Too Lightly
Regardless of where you’re living at the moment, the refugee crisis is not to be taken lightly. And when the son of the president elect is making such bold statements about the issue, a PR disaster looms. Donald Trump Jr. has made distasteful comments about obese people and shootings but in recent weeks, he has outdone himself. In a tweet referencing the Syrian refugee problem, he tweeted an image of a bowl of Skittles with the caption: “If I had a bowl of Skittles and I told you that three would kill you, would you take a handful? That’s our Syrian refugee problem.” If you were president elect, would you want your son to be representing you with remarks like that? It seems like the common lesson the Trump family can learn is a lesson in PR. Otherwise the media will continue to have a field day with comments like this one.
