La Boheme
Love, Paris, romance, dreams, and sorrow. La bohéme is a classic opera with all the ingredients for a stirring story, and for this reason, it is also one of the most performed operas. The famous composer, Giacomo Puccini, punctuates this story with arias and duets that evoke deep emotion.
The story follows the romance of a penniless poet and a poor seamstress who fall deeply in love on Christmas Eve. We get to know their friends, and their lives as struggling artists, known in France in those days as ‘bohemians’. The story makes you wonder, whether love is enough to make you happy when you are young and poor, and can it really truly conquer all? Find out for yourself.
