Robert Downey Jr. treads the same track as his father in Hollywood. He has encountered many self-inflicted inconveniences with the law which gave his father a lot of shame in the industry. He struggled with drugs from 1996 to 2001, his serious problem with drug addiction lead to arrests and rehab visits. Following rehab and reconciliation, Robert Downey Jr. had recovered his name and sealed the wound he left for his father, Robert Downey Sr. His son changing his life and turning it around was Downey Sr.’s highlight moment he says. Downey Sr. always points out that his relationship with his son is awesome since he is sober; they joke around all the time and have that special father-son connection.
