Liliane Henriette Charlotte Bettencourt is an heiress, businesswomen and socialite from France. She is the main shareholder in L’Oréal and is the richest woman and 11th richest in world. The family has a net worth of $42.7 billion.
Liliane started her career at an age of 15 as apprentice in her father’s co. L’Oréal. She use label shampoo battles and mix cosmetics. L’Oréal was founded by her father Eugéne Schueller. In 1957, after death of her father, she inherited the company and became the main shareholder. In 1963, the company became public, although she continued to be the major stakeholder. In 2012, she resigned as a board director and her grandson (Daughter’s son) Jean-Victor took over. Her daughter and Jean-Pierre Meyers (Daughter’s husband) are also board members.
