House of Saud is known as the ruling family of Saudi Arabia. The family consists of descendants of Muhammad bin Saud, who founded Emirate of Diriyah, the 1st state of Saudi and his siblings. The modern founder of Saudi Arabia is Ibn Saud and majority of the ruling faction are his descendants. The net worth of the family is estimated to be $1.4 trillion.
The House of Saud was founded by Muhammad bin Saud in 1744. The present king of Saudi Arabia is King Salman. The throne is passed from one son to another of the 1st king, Ibn Saud. The next king is going to be Muhammad bin Nayef. The family is mainly in to petroleum business and it is believed that petroleum was first discovered in Saudi under the king Ibn Saud. Ibn Saud’s family is ruling central Arabia for past 130 years. He had as many as 45 sons and are subsequent Saudi Arabian kings.
