The film was previously released in 2001, with Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, but this new reboot sees Alicia Vikander taking on the role.
Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer.
She must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared.

Alicia is 28-years-old and was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden.
In 2015 Alicia gained global recognition for her role as Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl.
She has also starred in Jason Bourne, Testament Of Youth, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
Dominic West as Lord Richard Croft, Lara's deceased archaeologist father
Dominic is an English actor born and raised in Yorkshire.
He is famed for movies like Finding Dory and Mona Lisa Smile.
Dominic is currently starring in The Affair alongside Ruth Wilson.

What happens in the Tomb Raider trailer?
The 15 second trailer shows Alicia getting stuck in to the action, running through a forest at high speed before pulling out a bow and arrow and taking aim at an enemy.
The Swedish actress is also seen jumping over a large tree branch before catching her leg and tumbling into a raging river below.
Cutting between the clips in red are the words, Her Legend Begins before an arrow slices through the movie's title.
