Roman Reigns and WWE Stars Set to Travel to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel 2026

WWE Prepares for Crown Jewel Amid Regional Tensions

WWE is moving ahead with preparations for Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite concerns surrounding regional tensions and travel disruptions. The November 7 event has attracted attention following speculation about whether some wrestling superstars would travel to the country. According to wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, there have been no confirmed reports of WWE performers withdrawing from the event. The company appears determined to continue with its scheduled plans. Roman Reigns is among the major names expected to participate.

Roman Reigns and Other Major Stars Remain on the Card

World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is scheduled to face WWE Champion Sami Zayn in a highly anticipated champion-versus-champion contest. Another major attraction will see Cody Rhodes take on Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match. Speculation had also circulated about CM Punk and Kevin Owens refusing to travel to Saudi Arabia. However, reports clarified that neither superstar had withdrawn, as their match was originally planned for SmackDown rather than Crown Jewel.

Crown Jewel Venue Changed in Riyadh

The event was initially planned for Riyadh Season Stadium but has now been shifted to The Venue, also known as ANB Arena, an indoor location in the Saudi capital. The venue change comes amid wider regional uncertainty and concerns affecting international sporting events. Several major competitions have also experienced postponements, including the FIFAe Finals 2026 and the Six Kings Slam tennis exhibition. The 2027 AFC Asian Cup has also been rescheduled for December 2027.

WWE Maintains Its Plans for November 7

Despite questions surrounding travel arrangements and security, WWE continues to prepare for the Riyadh show. Reports indicate that travelling to the event has not been something performers have been encouraged to decline. However, concerns among some wrestling talent have reportedly remained. With Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and other prominent names expected to appear, Crown Jewel 2026 is attracting considerable attention from wrestling fans worldwide. The event's progress and any further travel updates will remain important developments ahead of Saturday's show.
