29-year-old Keralite survives Dubai bus crash

Laji said he was sitting in the middle of bus at the right side when the accident occurred.

One of the lucky survivors of the crash, 29-year-old Keralite Nidhin Laji had gone to Oman to spend holidays there.

Laji said he was sitting in the middle of bus at the right side when the accident occurred. He was making plans to get down at the metro station, when he heard people screaming.

"There was blood everywhere. Most people who were sitting on the left side died on the spot.

"There were two drivers in the bus and they were taking turns to drive. After the accident, all survivors tried to help those in pain. I began to help a woman who was screaming. She was injured and her husband had died in the accident. I am lucky to survive. But I feel sorry for those who died in the accident," he said.

He was at the hospital the whole night doing check-ups though he had a minor scratch on his face. He said he lost all his documents in the crash.
