Oscar-winning musician, A.R. Rahman is going to perform in Qatar for the first time as a part of Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019 and presented by Katara Studio at Khalifa International Stadium on 22nd March 2019
If you have grown up on amazing songs by AR Rahman, this is your chance to catch the legend live in concert. Bringing his inimitable music to Qatar, the performance is part of the Qatar-India Year of Culture and it kicks off his first gig here.
Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019 kickstarts an exciting bunch of programme of festivals, exhibitions, competitions and event that is all set to take place in both countries over the year. This event is specially designed to promote mutual understanding, recognition and appreciation between both sovereign nations of India and Qatar. The Qatar-India culture event will invite audiences in Qatar and India to explore their cultural similarities, as well as celebrate their differences.

A.R.Rahman is an Indian singer and music director and producer. His film career began in 1992. He has been awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2010 by the Indian Government. Rahman also becomes a notable humanitarian, donating and raising money for a number of causes and charities. Apart from successful music tracks, Rahman has also received acclaim for his background scores and is considered one of the finest background-score composers in India.
Khalifa International Stadium also is known as National Stadium and it is a multi-purpose stadium in Doha. In 2017, it received a four-star rating from the Global Sustainability Assessment, the first in the world to be awarded this rating. The seating capacity of the stadium is 40,000

Khalifa International Stadium is located in the west of Doha at approximately 10 km from central Doha and 18 km from the Pearl development further north. Taking a taxi is the best way to reach the stadium.
