Five injured as gas cylinder explodes in UAE cafeteria

Few of the injured are struggling for their lives.

At least five laborers sustained serious to moderate wounds after a gas barrel detonated in a cafeteria in Ajman. The blast, caused by a gas spillage, made serious harm the bistro property in Al Rashidya zone.

Lt Col. Mustafa Sultan Al Ali, executive of flame stations, said that they got a call from a resident about a loud blast in the region.

Following the call, the civil defence vehicles raced to the site alongside ambulances. Upon landing, it was discovered that a gas spill prompted a blast without burst, harming no less than five. The harmed were taken to Sheik Khalifa Hospital.
