Qatar soaked in festive spirit as people from different walks of life celebrated the first day of Eid Al Fitr in an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie on Tuesday.
Citizens and residents turned up in large numbers for the early morning prayers, which was followed by the exchange of greetings and family visits. Numerous activities and events are also going on in shopping malls and public places. Katara attracted thousands of visitors who enjoyed a day full of fun and entertainment. Traditional activities are being held at Katara, especially distribution of Eid gifts among children.
As some decided to celebrate the Eid holiday at beaches, hundreds of families turned up at the Sealine beach to enjoy the holiday. Public parks such as Aspire Park attracted a large number of visitors.
The traffic flow was smooth in most areas.
