Spoilt by breath-taking natural beauty and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Lavaux is one of Switzerland’s most picturesque regions. The Lavaux vineyard stretches across 400 kilometres of walls and consist of 10,000 terraces spread over 40 levels. This makes the region the most extensive in Switzerland with the mosaic of vines stretching for about 14 kilometres between Montreux and Vevey (the Swiss Riviera) to the east and Lausanne to the west. For culture lovers, one can explore the Exhibition Maison Lavaux that is held at the historic Buttin-de-Loës property in Grandvaux. The exhibition that is divided into several themes immerses visitors into this UNESCO World Heritage site. The themes range from the physical landscape of the Lavaux vineyard, shaped for over a thousand years by the winegrowers to the human aspect of the place. A large fresco puts the spotlight on the population that gives life to this territory and finally, a cross-section of artist’s showcases is on display to highlight the region’s unique heritage. Visitors coming to the region can explore these amazing art displays at Maison Lavaux every afternoon from Wednesday to Sunday from April 6 until October 30, 2022. A tour is available in three languages – French, German and English and can be audible through the audio guide. 
A Pop-up Spa in Lavaux is a unique and different experience for visitors looking to indulge in an immersive spa therapy. The ‘La Vigne’, a new mobile spa concept offers a sensory immersion into one of the most beautiful panoramas of the world. One can indulge in the hot bath in the heart of the vineyards, take a Chasselas lees wrap or even just a relaxing massage with grape seed oil. Lavaux also offers outdoor enthusiast’s various activities that suit their preferences. Crisscrossed by routes that lend themselves to walking or cycling, the terraced vineyards of Lavaux invite sport fans to spend their energy in an exceptional setting. Visitors who prefer instructive walking can follow a guide in this UNESCO-classified region and then continue to the alleys of quaint villages such as St-Saphorin.
