Meet the UAE's first baby born on Eid Al Fitr 2019

The baby boy was born at 12:01am today.

Proud and happy parents welcomed a baby boy just one minute past midnight on June 4, 2019. The baby became the first infant to be born on Eid Al Fitr this year.

Burjeel Hospital, a premier healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, has welcomed the first Eid Al Fitr baby, weighing 3910 grams, into the world at 12:01am today.

The parents, Mohamad Yaser Al Shaikh and Kholood Salem Al Dhaheri, were overjoyed at their baby being the first one born in the UAE on the auspicious day of Eid.

 

"We have been blessed with a healthy baby, Ali Mohamad Al Shaikh, which makes our day even more joyous. The medical team and staff at Burjeel Hospital have taken excellent care of us and our family during this time, and we are thankful for their support. We want to thank the entire team for all their efforts," said Mohamad Yaser Al Shaikh and Kholood Salem Al Dhaheri.

Dr. Sausan Abdul Rahman, Consultant - Obstetrics and Gynecology at Burjeel Hospital expressed her happiness on the birth. "We are both happy and proud that the team of Burjeel Hospital was able to be a part of the birth on such a significant day. We will always remember this moment," said Dr. Sausan.
