Qatar to witness noticeable rise in temperature for two days

Qatar will witness a noticeable rise in temperatures today and tomorrow, June 25, said the Qatar Meteorology Department.

In a Twitter post, the department warned residents of a rise of 3 to 5 degrees above average as maximum temperatures is expected to reach 45 degree Celsius in Doha and more than that in central and southern areas.

The department had in an earlier post issued safety precautions for this weather:

1. Try to avoid outdoor activities and direct sunlight.
2. Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing to reflect sunlight.
3. Drink plenty of fluids
4. Don't leave children unattended in a vehicle
5. Outdoor workers should take rest breaks in the shade.
