Stay immobile, engines off, while fueling at petrol stations: Woqod

Woqod has urged its customers to stay inside the car, switch off their vehicles’s engine and stop using mobile phone to keep themselves safe.

A Woqod tweet said:

“Static electricity is a common risk in petrol stations. Movement of people, keeping the engine running, and using mobile phones during fueling maximize the risk,” it said.

These activities are considered as “sources of ignition”.

“We at WOQOD request you NOT to leave or enter the vehicle while fueling. We request all our customers to follow the safety guidelines available in our Petrol Stations. By not complying you may cause harm to yourself and others.”
