The UAE has announced a new, interim, multiple-entry visa for residents in the country who are seeking a longer residency period.
HE Major General Al Rashidi, Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at the Identity and Citizenship Authority, said that talented residents hoping for a long-term residency "can get a multiple-entry visa with six-month validity renewable for similar periods, by submitting an application through the e-channels system, which is available as a public service that does not require the applicant to sign in."
According to a statement from the Identity and Citizenship Authority, the services are available for people who are eligible for a long-term residency, such as "public investors, real estate investors, entrepreneurs, people with specialized talents, researchers in the fields of science and knowledge, innovators and outstanding students with promising abilities."
