UAE Ramadan campaign to support 2,000 Pakistani families

Sheikha Fatima Humanitarian Campaign supports vulnerable families in Sindh.

Two thousand underprivileged families in Pakistan's Sindh province, will receive support from the Sheikha Fatima Humanitarian Campaign that was launched in the country in February, 2019.

The campaign will deliver 100-kilogramme food parcels containing Ramadan Iftar and other essentials, such as mineral water.

Staff from the UAE Consulate in Karachi, including Dr. Salem Al Khadim Al Dhanhany, Consul-General, and Counsellor Bekhit Ateeq Al Rumaithi, supervised the distribution of aid in many areas, including Kathor.

The annual campaign is in line with the humanitarian approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, GWU, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, FDF, to provide humanitarian support to the poor people living in Pakistani villages, following the announcement of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan declaring 2019 as the Year of Tolerance.
