Philippine Airlines Baggage Guidelines

When packing, it is important to know what you could and could not bring with you in the airport. Each airport, however is different when it comes to their strict guidelines implemented in order to ensure the safety of the passengers travel and the safety of the country they are travelling to.

The following are the things that you could bring with you and other guidelines and tips that you should follow when checking in the Philippine Airlines:

Pack liquids
oAerosols and gels are allowed to be placed in a carry-on luggage at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) considering that they are in 100mL containers.

oPAL (Philippine Airlines) are advising its passengers to place their liquids and gel-like substances inside their check-in baggage except for those bought in a Duty Free Shops and other retails stores after the Final Screening Checkpoint.

Cabin pressure changes and could cause leaking to some of your toilet articles. If you are bringing these with you, place this in a zip lock or an airtight plastic.

 

Television sets could be accepted as a checked-in baggage considering that the owner is willing to do the following:

  • To be assessed and pay extra valuation charges
  • To sign the Declaration and Release
  • To sign the Limited Release tag for the TV set ( * valuation charges does not apply to domestic travels but the owner and passenger would still have to sign the Declaration and Release form and the Limited Release tag)

On the other hand, there are also things that you could not bring with you at the airport and guidelines when travelling abroad:

  • It is NOT recommended to place your valuable objects such as jewelries, cash, electronic devices and other fragile items inside your checked baggage
  • Don’t pack sharp objects such as knives and cutters in your carry-on baggage
  • Lighters are NOT allowed in the airport or onboard aircraft
  • oSince April 14, 2005 passengers travelling to or from the United States, including Guam, is prohibited to carry any type of lighter in their carry-on luggage and into the security checkpoints.
  • Bringing meat, poultry or pork or swine products cooked or uncooked to the United States is not allowed under the U.S. Customs and Border Protection especially to countries or regions that were affected with exotic and animal diseases.
