Angel Locsin refuses to comment on former boyfriend Luis Manzano backing out as host of ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’

Before the reality show "Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT)" started airing, Luis Manzano revealed that he won't be hosting the show.
Luis was the ex-boyfriend of Angel Locsin, one of PGT's judges.
When asked to comment on Luis, the actress said that she wasn't part of the decision-making process.

It has been over a year since Kapamilya stars Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano announced their sudden break-up after getting back together. Despite the two former lovers’ admission that they have moved on from the separation, people still associate them with each other’s issues. Take for instance Luis’s decision to stop hosting the ABS-CBN reality talent show, “Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT)”, citing personal reasons behind it. Others were quick to attribute it to Angel’s presence on the show as one of its judges.

When asked for her reaction on the matter, the former “La Luna Sangre” star refused to comment on the issue, saying, “Honestly, hindi kasi ako nakikialam sa decision-making, e, kaya ayaw kong magbigay ng comment tungkol diyan. Ang alam ko, mayroon siyang show na gagawin.”

In spite of the rumored rift, Angel still praised her former boyfriend’s hosting skills.

“Hindi naman nawawalan ng show si Luis, kasi isa siya sa pinakamagaling na hosts dito sa Pilipinas. Ako rin naman, ginagawa ko lang yung binibigay sa ‘king trabaho, yun lang ang pwede kong sabihin,”she pointed out.

Speaking to members of the press on the sidelines of PGT auditions, Angel said that she welcomes the opportunity to work with him again in the future.

“Nagawa ko nga noong kasagsagan ng kaguluhan namin; ngayon pa, I don’t see the reason bakit hindi ko magawa now,” she said. “Pero I’m fine kung hindi ko siya makatrabaho and I’m fine din naman kung kailangan ko siya makatrabaho.”

While Luis already marked his anniversary with girlfriend Jessy Mendiola, Angel recently opened up on dating producer Neil Arce, one of her closest friends.

“Hindi naman ako nagtatago, e. Sana lang na maintindihan niyo na nahihirapan ako na lagyan ng label, kasi kami, hindi kami naglalagay ng label, e, kaya wag niyo sana isipin na nagtatago kami or nagpapa-tweetums kami,” she clarified.

“Kasi kami rin, medyo hirap kami sa sitwasyon ngayon, pero ang importante sa buhay ay yung importante siya sa buhay ko,” Angel continued.

According to her, Neil was one of the reasons she had a great year.

“At ang laking elemento para sumaya ang 2017 ko…ang laking element ni Neil para maging happy ang 2017 ko, or pa-start na maging happy ang 2017 ko, kasi ang 2016 ko ay simumpa yata ako nun,”she quipped, not naming the reason for the bad year.
