She was held at Dublin airport and deported to Wales.

A Filipino woman en route to Abu Dhabi, was held at Dublin Airport and deported to Wales, from where she first boarded her flight, as she did not have an Irish visa.

Guadalupe Tiongco, 48, was to take three connecting flights to fly back home to the Philippines from the Cardiff Airport in Wales. Tiongo flew on May 28 from Cardiff Airport in Wales to Dublin, and from Dublin she was to board flight to Abu Dhabi and from there to Manila, reported Filipino Times. 

According to TFT, Tiongo made it through her first flight and landed at Dublin Airport but before she could board her flight to Abu Dhabi, she was stopped at the airport. Her husband, Andrew Powell, who works as a catering manager from Brecon, said that his wife was taken to a room with no furniture where she stayed the entire day before being deported to Cardiff. 

Tiongo was flying back to the Philippines to apply for a new family visa and the couple said they were unaware she would need a visa to catch a connecting flight in Ireland.

The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) said on its website that passengers need a Transit Visa to travel through an Irish airport/seaport on their way to another destination.
