Filipina in Kuwait Maltreated By Female Employer, Needs Immediate Help

Despite the heightened campaign of the Philippine government to secure the welfare of OFWs in Kuwait, there are still a number of incidents reported over maltreatment of Filipino workers in the said country.

One of this is the viral post of Menchie Pilapil Romero who is asking for help because her employer allegedly abused her.

In the post, it is said that up until this very moment, Romero wasn’t able to receive any help from the Philippine Embassy or her recruitment agency which is JMM.

Her family had no knowledge regarding Romero’s current situation in Kuwait so she decided to post a video to reach out to people who render her help.

In the video and photo which was posted online, Romero can be seen with bruises all over her body, especially in the face.

Romero is pleading for help because she is afraid that her female employer might kill her.

Her current address is Sabah Salem, Block 9, St. 1 Building 42, Floor 1. She needs urgent help because based on the photos and video that she sent, she is suffering so much from the hands of her abusive employer.

Deployment ban in Kuwait still stands. There are a number of Filipinos there who already went home as they were offered free plane tickets by the Philippine government. Still, there are others who are left there, suffering from the abuses of their employer.
