250 new Covid-19 cases reported in Qatar; 16 people recovered

Ministry of Public Health today announces registration of 250 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and stated that 16 more people have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of people have recovered in the State of Qatar to 109
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now stands at 1325 and there are 1213 active cases are under treatment.

Meanwhile the number of people tested for COVID-19 is 31,951. 

Some of the new cases of infection are related to travelers returning from abroad or for those who have been in contact with these travellers. The new infected cases have all been placed under complete quarantine, and they are receiving all necessary medical care.

Ministry of Public Health conducted laboratory tests for 3,538 people in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of COVID-19 tests to date to 31,951.

Ministry of Public Health calls upon citizens and residents under home quarantine to strictly adhere to the specific requirements and quarantine procedures. The Ministry stressed the importance of staying at home and physical distancing in curbing the outbreak of COVID-19.
