Qatar Labour Ministry finds 3 companies violating precautionary requirements

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) announced that three contracting and construction companies at a worksite in the Pearl were found violating health and safety policies and measures that should be followed when workers enter buses as well as not keeping precautionary distances and overcrowding inside the bus.

In coordination with the security authorities, necessary measures were taken against the engineers responsible for the site and they have been referred to further investigation, the MADLSA said in a statement today.

This came during the inspection campaigns carried out by the MADLSA in coordination with the security authorities on workplaces and accommodations to ensure companies adhere to the policies issued by the ministry, which should be applied by them to avoid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in workplaces.

It is worth noting that the Ministry has adopted and published a policy of measures that companies must follow at workplaces and accommodations to protect workers and reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
