Strong winds, high seas expected in offshore areas

Strong winds and high seas are expected in offshore areas today, the Qatar Met department has said.
Northwesterly winds will blow at 15-24 knots before decreasing to 6-16 knots by the evening in these places, according to the weather report.
Slight dust with some clouds is also likely in offshore areas, while the sea level may rise to 8ft.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas says moderate temperature is expected today along with slight to blowing dust in some places and clouds. It will be relatively cold by night. 

 

The wind speed may increase to 22 knots in northern areas at times.
Meanwhile, a minimum temperature of 17C is expected in Mesaieed and Wakrah today, while in Doha it will be 22C. The maximum, on the other hand, will be 31C in Al Khor and Doha and 30C in Mesaieed and Wakrah.
Yesterday, a minimum temperature of 17C was recorded in Mesaieed and Turayna, followed by 18C in Karana. 
In the capital, a minimum of 21C was recorded in the Qatar University area.
The maximum, meanwhile, was 31C in the Doha airport and Qatar University areas, followed by 30C in Al Rayyan and Mesaieed.
