A traditional dance of Arabia is called as "Ardah". This dance is performed with two rows of men, each of them will be wielding a sword or cane. Dance is accompanied by the spoken poetry
Initially, Ardah was performed by the men of tribes in the Nejd rigion. It was performed before going to war. Now a days, It is performed in celebrations like engagement, wedding, national events so that culture will never die!!
The word "Ardah"is derived fro Arabic verb and it means "Parade". Ardah varies from region to region but the purpose it serves is the same through out Arabian Peninsula. Najdi ardah is the most known and famous variant of Ardah which is mostly performed in Saudi and they renamed it as "Saudi ardah".
In 2016, Saudi King performed Qatari Ardah.
