One of the most important relationships that can be established and always credited by two people will be the one between a husband and his wife.
Actually, that is the most authentic relationship that brings two people together by not only the law but also binds them together as a soul.
A wife considers it her responsibility to not only keep her husband happy but also tie together the entire family. To show how much she cares, she will make sure that her husband will always be devoted to her and will always remain hers and hers alone.
With love comes the feeling of jealousy which obviously, no woman is comfortable with.
To manage the house and the kids, the wife often takes in extra help from another woman outside of the house, someone who can easily do all the dirty for them. That is where a maid comes in.
In the culture of Saudi Arabia, it is highly common for every household to have a maid of their own. This way, the wife can find time for herself, to relax but also make sure her home is up to date and spotless all at the same time.
Though, the maid can sometimes become the trouble for the wife if the husband begins to pay more attention towards the maid.
According to a Saudi housewife, she called in a maid who she treated very well, who at first was disapproved by her husband but soon things changed and one day, her husband brought the maid home as his second wife.
This isn’t the first time that a housemaid was taken under the oath of marriage by her master. There have been similar cases, repeatedly to which the answer has still not been decided.
Why do Saudi men marry their maids? Could they not possibly find anyone else? The question can be extremely debatable and the answers would vary from person to person.
One of the most renowned answers was, that the husband may not have been getting the attention or care from the wife as he was from the maid.
It often tends to happen that women do not consider it important to take care of the little things that are connected to their husbands. Examples of such include ironing their clothes, preparing their breakfast, washing their clothes etc.
