Indian gets 1-year jail and SR 10,000 fine on fake certificate

An Indian National working in a leading oil company in Dammam was sentenced to 1-year imprisonment and SR 10,000 fine on fake engineering certificate.

 

The man who from Indian city Hyderabad, was working as a civil engineer in the same company from last 23 years.

According to procedures, recently the company asked to produce the original qualification certificate. Later he submitted the certificate issued from one of the top university of Andra Pradesh, India.

But In the primary inspection, the inspection authority doubt and communicate with the university to ensure the genuinity of the certificate.

The later, university confirmed the certificate is fake with a written confirmation.

According to Dammam criminal court lawyer Mohammed Najathi, The man will be deported after the completion of jail period.
