An overseas Filipino worker based in Saudi Arabia took his own life by hanging himself inside his apartment, according to a report by RMN.
The body of the Filipino, who was said to be an furniture factory worker, was found hanging in his residence in Saudi Arabia’s western region July 30.
Edgar B. Badajos, Consul General of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, also said that the consulate has already asked Saudi authorities to probe on the death of the Filipino, who was not named in the report.
Badajos also promised to provide all necessary assistance to repatriate the remains of the OFW.
The same report stated that this is the second time an OFW has taken his own life in the western region of the Gulf country.
